Privacy policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
1. What is the purpose of this notice?
We take the security and privacy of your data seriously. Post Go is a trading name of Eclipse Creative Consultants Limited (company number 02475077, registered office 3 Hilliards Court, Chester Business Park, Chester, Cheshire, CH4 9QP), which also trades as eclipse marketing (“we”, “us”). We gather and use information about you to provide the service and to manage our relationship with you. We will be clear and transparent about what we collect and what we do with it, in line with UK data protection law. You can contact us at automations@eclipse-marketing.uk.
2. What we need
We are the “controller” of the personal data you give us. We only collect basic personal data, and none of the special categories of personal information.
- Account details: your email address and a password (stored securely, never in readable form).
- Business information you give us: business name, industry, description, regions, audience, tone, offers, website, sample posts, brand colours and notes.
- Files you upload: logos, photos, brand-guideline PDFs and strategy PDFs. Photos and documents are stored privately.
- Content we create for you: trend ideas, drafts, final posts, scripts, images, content plans and the style preferences we learn from your edits.
- Results you enter: the LinkedIn and Instagram figures you type in for each post, such as impressions, views, clicks, reactions and saves.
- Usage information: a record of the actions you run in the service (what was run, when, how long it took and whether it worked) and when you last used it. We do not record the text of your posts in this log.
- Payment information: payments are handled by our payment provider. We receive confirmation and subscription status. We never store your card details.
3. Why we need it
We need this information to provide the service you asked for: to create and run your account, research trends, write posts and show your results, to take payment, and to look after the service. We will not collect personal data from you that we do not need to provide and oversee the service.
4. What we do with it
We only use your personal data where it is necessary:
- to enter into, or perform, our contract with you (for example creating your account, writing your posts, taking payment and sending account messages such as email confirmation and password resets);
- to comply with a legal duty (for example keeping financial records); and
- for our own lawful interests, provided your rights do not override them.
Our legitimate business interests include:
- enhancing, modifying and improving the service for the benefit of our customers;
- identifying and preventing fraud and misuse, including limits on sign-up and login attempts;
- keeping our network and information systems secure; and
- understanding how the service is used, for example through the usage record described above.
When we rely on legitimate interests we consider and balance any impact on you, and they do not override your interests. You have the right to object to this processing; if you do, it may affect our ability to carry out the tasks above for your benefit. We process your information for the purpose it was collected for, or closely related purposes, and will not use it for an unrelated purpose without telling you.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. The service uses artificial intelligence to draft content from the information you provide, and you review everything before you use it. We will only send you marketing emails if you ask us to.
5. Sharing your personal information
We share your personal information with other organisations only to carry out our contract with you or for our legitimate interests. They process it on our behalf and only for that purpose. They fall into these groups:
- Hosting and database providers: run the website and app, and store your account, content and files.
- Automation providers: run the workflows that carry out our research and writing steps.
- AI providers: write text and create images from the information you provide.
- Public data collection providers: gather publicly available Instagram posts and account information to research trends. They are sent search terms and public account names, not your account details.
- Payment providers: take card payments and manage subscriptions.
- Email providers: send account emails such as confirmation codes and password resets.
We do not sell your personal information. We will also share it if required or permitted by law, if required by a court or any regulatory, governmental or law enforcement agency, or if needed in connection with legal proceedings. If you would like the names of the providers we use, email us at automations@eclipse-marketing.uk.
6. Where we keep it
We are based in the UK. Some of our providers store or process information outside the UK, including in the EU and the United States. Where this happens we only allow it if your information is adequately protected, for example through the UK’s approved international transfer terms or an adequacy arrangement such as the UK–US data bridge.
7. How long we keep it
We only keep information for as long as it is needed for the purposes it was collected for. We keep your account information and content while your account is open. You can delete an account, or your whole login, yourself at any time from Company profile. Deleting it permanently removes your business information, posts, plans, results, photos, logo, brand pack, strategy documents, generated images and usage records, and removes your login. We only keep what the law requires us to keep, for example financial records of payments, and we will not hold any personal data for longer than six years. Our service providers may hold short-lived technical logs for a limited time.
8. How we use cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember which account and channel you are viewing. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Full details are in our Cookie policy.
9. What are your rights?
We want you to stay in control of your personal data. Under UK data protection law you have the right, in certain circumstances, to:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you and, if so, what it is and why we use it;
- request access to your personal information (a “data subject access request”), to receive a copy and check that we are using it lawfully;
- request correction of any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you;
- request erasure of your personal information where there is no good reason for us to keep using it (you can also delete your account yourself, as described above);
- object to processing where we rely on legitimate interests and there is something about your situation that makes you want to object, or where we use your information for direct marketing;
- object to automated decision-making, including profiling;
- request that we restrict processing, for example while you check its accuracy;
- request transfer of your information in an electronic and structured form to you or another party (data portability); and
- withdraw consent, where you have given it for a specific purpose.
You will not have to pay a fee to exercise any of these rights, although we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse if a request is clearly unfounded or excessive. We may ask for information to confirm your identity, as a security measure. There are exceptions to these rights, but we will always try to respond to your satisfaction. Contact us at automations@eclipse-marketing.uk to use any of them.
10. Complaints
If you want to complain about how we have handled your personal data, please email automations@eclipse-marketing.uk or write to Eclipse Creative Consultants Limited, 3 Hilliards Court, Chester Business Park, Chester, Cheshire, CH4 9QP, and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, or believe we are processing your data unlawfully, you can complain directly to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk.
11. Information about other people
If you manage accounts for clients or upload photos or documents that include other people, you are responsible for having the right to do so. Please do not upload anyone’s personal information unless it is needed to use the service.
12. Security
Access to each account is restricted to its owner, photos and documents are stored privately, and information is encrypted in transit. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
13. Links to other websites
The service and our website may link to other websites. Once you leave our site we have no control over those websites and are not responsible for the protection and privacy of any information you give them, and they are not governed by this policy. Please look at the privacy statement of any site you visit.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date at the top and tell you about important changes by email or by a notice on our website.
